Taliban Red Unit Commander Killed in Balkh
KABUL (MEP) – Afghan Security forces in an air raid targeted, killed a Taliban ‘Red Unit’ commander in Keshendeh District of Balkh province.
The air attack was carried out Tuesday on the positions of Mullah Yaqub, known as “Mansour”.
Taliban key ‘Red Unit’ commander Mullah Mansour, along with 15 of his men were killed in the air raid, the 209th
Shaheen Corps said in a statement.
No further details have been released on the operation yet.
The Taliban have not commented so far.
The fresh air raids come as Taliban attacks on particular areas in the northern Afghanistan have recently increased.
